David Tyrone Patterson, 42, of Greensboro, is facing drug and fraud charges after being busted with heroin and paraphernalia after providing investigators with a phony ID, the sheriff’s office announced on Wednesday, June 29.
Deputies responded to the 500 block of Fox Run Boulevard in Prince Frederick to conduct a welfare check on Patterson, according to a spokesperson from the sheriff's office.
Upon arrival, investigators said that he identified himself as Jeremy Lee Rawding, but a warrant check found that Patterson had an alias and was wanted in Caroline County under his given name.
Patterson was taken into custody without incident.
Further investigation of Patterson’s person found he was allegedly in a possession of a crack pipe and multiple small bags containing what is believed to be heroin.
Patterson was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center, where he was charged with:
- Criminal possession of a dangerous substance: not marijuana;
- Criminal possession of a dangerous substance: Possession of paraphernalia;
- Providing a false name to prevent prosecution.
No return court date for Patterson has been announced by the sheriff’s office.
